#LFLOVES: Look Fantastic Valentines Box 2016

look fantastic beauty box blog

It's here and it's PINK! Upon opening and seeing an Elle magazine neatly sitting on top in all of it's Karlie Kloss-ified glory, I knew the Valentine's box was going to be good one! This month it's all about the products that make you feel beautiful including massaging body oil, body butter (which smells AMAZING), a brow perfector kit (every modern girls essential!), matte lipstick and a mini brush for those little hair emergencies! Basically, this months box will have you date ready in no time.
As always, my box highlight has got to be another addition to my growing Lord and Berry collection with the 'Intimacy' matte lip colour which is a gorgeous rose colour, bound to suit any girl of any skin tone. Highlight #2 has to be the brow perfector by Hi Impact Brows which can also be used as eyeshadow and eyeliner. As someone who spend most of her weekend practising her #BrowGame, I definitely can't resist using this product ASAP!

What do you think of this months box? You can pick it up from Look Fantastic now for just £15, or get the subscription for as little as £11.25 a month!

Return of the Chuck

wide leg trousers uk fashion blog

The icy weather is finally starting to ease off, albeit with a replacement of manic winds - but it's finally appropriate to pull out the leather jacket and put back the fur coat, hooray! I love dressing for winter and layering for days, but my all-time favourite season for dressing is autumn/spring when the temperatures are a little above 0. You can pull of the cool-girl look without your wide leg trousers getting ruined in puddles of all sorts, hang a jacket over your shoulders without freezing to death and be blog photo ready at all times!

Look Fantastic Beauty Box January 2016 #LFBEAUTYBOX

look fantastic beauty box

It's that time again! The Look Fantastic January 2016 box is here, and this month it's all about the detox! It wouldn't be the beginning of a new year without lost resolutions and panic-buying new products to assist you with a bit of a clean up from the December damage, so thank heavens for this months box packed with skin and haircare to help us on our way!
'But January is nearly over' - I hear you say. Yep, well... did you stick to your resolution? Nope, didn't think so - so now's your chance to jump back on the wagon for February!
So what's got me excited this month? The first thing I saw upon opening was the wonderfully packaged Kebelo silk clarifying shampoo and conditioner, which for someone who bleaches their hair fairly regularly is a lifesaver in disguise! Next little bit of happiness in a beauty product? The Bella Pierre shimmer eyeshadow. I was introduced to this brand through a previous Look Fantastic box where I received a gorgeous red lipstick, and the staying power had me a fan from day 1, so i'm definitely ready to delve into another product of theirs and with gold and shimmer, you can't go wrong.
Finally, i'm super excited to try the Nuxe 'Nuxellence' Detox. Nuxe is a brand that seems to be on any top beauty bloggers lips lately, so seeing more and more amazing reviews on their products (especially the lip balm), I can't wait to finally give them a go for myself and see what the fuss really is about. This product promises detoxifying with a helping hand of anti-aging, containing 10 different patents to combat overnight!

Did you pick up a box this month? What's your favourite product?
You can pick up your own #LFBeautyBox from Look Fantastic for as little as £11.25 a month, and next months looks amazing!

The £10 Teddy Coat

how to style teddy coat

Oh, Primark - you've done it again, and this time with a £10 teddy coat. Yep, you read that correctly, £10. Since moving back from London and discovering the Manchester Market Street store (which FYI is sooooooo much better than my previously beloved Tottenham Court Road store), I have managed to continue my developing love for Primark that began a few seasons ago when they seriously upped their trend game. This time, they did it with the teddy coat - which I was actually sent in for to pick up for my mum in cream, and of course I came out with her coat + the brown version for myself and another fluffy furry jacket. Oops.
I've also grown pretty accustomed to In The Style recently - after wearing them during London Fashion Week last season and absolutely loving the quality, i've found myself going back, more so since seeing the launch of Binky Felstead's collection! There's nothing better than a chic dress with absolutely no fuss that you can wear for any occasion like this roll neck dress that I picked up from her last collection. Have you checked out her pieces on ITS? Her new collection dropped today!

Winter Essentials with Debenhams Part 2

winter essentials uk fashion blog

You may have seen my first Winter Essentials post last month featuring the fur collared leather jacket (back when the temperatures were a tad higher!), but this time it's all about the wool coat and the platform boots. I'm an absolute sucker for a coat - to me, they complete an outfit in winter as they are the first thing anyone is going to see of your outfit, so colour co-ordination is a must (which is my excuse for having a good 20+ coats...).
Keeping colourful during the winter months is tough going, so opting for deep, autumnal colours can keep your winter wardrobe a little brighter than usual and give you more to work with to create a versatile capsule wardrobe with a little more option than our fail-safe black pieces.

Creature Comforts

casual outfit inspiration uk fashion blog

Let's be real here, we can't be our 100% stylish selves everyday and we all have something that's our creature comfort. Myself, for example, I commute around 5 hours a day (yep, those people like the nutters you read about in the Metro that commute to London from Spain and Poland, i'm basically one of them) - so comfort is essential with a long day. What gets me by? A super cosy statement knit, my staple pair of skinnies and my brand new Adidas Superstars that i'm quite frankly in love with. I have become a shadow of my former stylist self when it comes to my new life as a commuter - and if you know me at all, you'll know trainers are extremely out of the norm for me... It's comparable to seeing a dog walk on it's hind legs...

Military Chic

how to style military dress uk blog missguided

The Military trend is one of those that I ignored when it peaked in 2009. For me, it was just kind of dated (even if it was current season) and reminded me a bit too much of my mum and lets face it, gold buttons generally scream tacky - but fast forward to A/W15 and we're finally onto something, with Mango and Missguided leading the pack for the most desirable pieces. So introducing the Military blazer dress... I picked this one up in the Missguided sale on Christmas day (black was still full price, however being blonde navy is much less harsh on me and luckily at the time in the sale!) and I. am. in. love. Forget those bodycon dresses next saturday night, it's all about being a #GIRLBOSS in a must-have blazer dress. Like you needed anymore convincing, it's flattering, cleavage flashing and fits like a glove! Heaven in a dress.

Layering Knitwear

layering knitwear uk fashion blog

Co-ordinating your knitwear this season has been one of my favourite trends, so styling up this knitted skirt again was pretty inevitable. It's getting colder than ever now here in the North, so layering knitwear over the next month or so is going to be essential and there are so many amazing pieces on the high street right now to make it super easy for you. To keep it comfy, I opted for an oversized, thick roll-neck layered over a chunky knit bodycon skirt and styled with trainers - which could easily be worn with tights and boots for that extra bit of warmth. Other pieces popular in stores right now are the knitted culottes and knitted flares, which look amazing with split sided chunky knits for the extra cool-girl vibe. I'll definitely be making the most out of this cozy trend before Spring finally makes its long anticipated return...

MAC Lipstick Collection: Nudes, Pinks and Reds

mac lipstick collection 2016 blog

The inevitable beauty post from a MAC Lipstick addict - the collection. There's just no brand like them for me, nothing excites me more than a new shade release - not even Chanel. I know, that's a bold statement, but when it comes to lipsticks it's the truth. I'm quite picky when it comes to my shades (because I have such a pale skintone) so it's still expanding - but the shades I do have mean business, so there's not a single let down shade here... Without further ado...

Back to December

boohoo pink coat fashion blog

And so it begins, my love for the pink coat has reignited for another season. It's not the season staple, but it's so easy to style and dare I say - so cute! I always say that at this time of the year, a coat isn't just to keep warm, but to finish an outfit - and what completes an outfit more than a little bit of colour in such gloomy times?

The Dogtooth Blanket Cape

How to style a blanket cape

The blanket cape. It came into our lives in 2014, and due to it's convenience and coziness - it never left. Keep it chic with a mini skirt and over-the-knee boots, or cool it down with a pair of jeans and a simple roll neck - there's no wrong way about it. You're all aware by now that i'm a super lazy dresser, so it's safe to say I have more than one of these hanging in my wardrobe and since leaving London to the North (kept that a secret didn't I! Apologies!) i'm reaching for anything warm while I re-climatize to the blustery Manchester weather! Rain, rain, go away - you're ruining my blog photos...

Mustard With A Side of Faux Fur

fashion blogger primark rollback

Recycling your summer wardrobe always feels impossible, but with the right pieces, layering can be super easy. The key to mastering the art of layering? It's as simple as a roll neck. Roll necks are the be-all-and-end-all of knitwear for me as you can throw almost anything over the top and the neck line won't throw another garment off. Got a strappy cami dress from the summer that you can't wait to wear again? No problem, just throw it over a roll neck and you're good to go! For an extra wintery touch, add a dash of faux fur and a pair of knee-highs. These navy knee high boots were gifted to me by Clarks for their #COMFORTandJOY campaign and they really are the comfiest boots that I own. P.s, you can win your own by entering their campaign comp over on their Facebook!
