Suit of the Season

asos suit

If you were to ask me to send you in the direction of the suit of the season, my finger would be swiftly pointed towards ASOS. Have I ever worn a better fitted suit in the quality of this one? Nope. It was love at first co-ordinated sight. Want to make the business-looking pairing bang up to date? Add a skinny scarf for an instant injection of Bianca Jagger.

London Fashion Week Day 3 Outfit

london fashion week street style ss16

Although Day 3 was the only day I managed to go to this year due to work commitments, but it definitely didn't lack on the busy side - from workshops with Boohoo at The Apartment and Fashion films with River Island.  Me and the girls also got to see the new host of LFW when heading to the River Island preview, and in my opinion it's all a little strange, especially after so many amazing years at Somerset House... Not to mention the feeling of being stylish herded livestock whilst queueing for shows (which is never a good look)...

Adorned in Zara

Pale neutrals. The kind of shades that you steer clear of because generally, you can't see past that late morning sea of beige crowding your bus when the elderly go about their day in their matching beige macs - and I don't blame you, we've all been there and we've all had the association, but that doesn't mean that the tones should be feared. There's something about a paler pairing for me and steering clear of darker tones that is quite refreshing to see, and the right fabric combo's bring the look bang up to date - taking this chunky knit and leather combo as an example and pairing with a darker camel for added depth.

NYFW SS16: Trends and Favourites

Fashion month is well underway, with London currently playing host to the seasonal show and coming to it's end until February tomorrow - but not before Paris and Milan show us what they have in store for next season. Although a native Brit, my heart lies in NYFW when it comes to the upcoming trends, and this year was no exception. Take a look at my faves for NYFW SS16.

Black Out

It's that time again... For some people, the all black ensemble is an all-year-round thing, but for most we just like to re-introduce the colour in the colder months (basically the ones we're least likely to melt whilst wearing it). The piece I missed most of all from my winter black wardrobe was this pair of sheer wide leg trousers from Primark I picked up last Summer for an event and loved them ever since, the perfect sexy-but-covered-up look and all at the Primark price tag... Bonus.

Kimono cuts and Sequins

Well, H&M, didn't you just get interesting... Just as I start to disregard the high street store as my basics shop, i'm reminded of the quality and designer-esque cuts and styles that they sometimes grace us with with garments like this jacket.

MUST HAVE BOOTS FOR AW15

Any shoe lover will know that the thing to get excited about for the Winter season is the boots, and any A/W lover will know that the Fashion season is just so much better than the rest of the year. I don't know if it's just me, but Fashion is continuously getting more daring and the past few seasons in footwear (in my opinion) have shown the catwalk-to-retail filter decreasing and decreasing, giving us more amazing and adventurous shoes each season - take the fur shoes that dominated Instagram last fall thanks to Phoebe Philo's ever lusted pieces making their way through the high street filter. Now i'm not saying shoes were boring up until this point, i'm just saying the days of the classic shoe style are long gone, and fun, fast-fashion footwear is more stylish than ever - and this season is no exception. So, without further adieu, a boot for all budgets...

Co-ordinating Khaki

Continuing on from last seasons icky colour trend, Khaki is still in full force and so is co-ordinating. I don't think i'll ever grow tired of a matching set (or forcibly matching sets) - there's just something so 'important' looking about them. But onto the trousers. Being hip heavy and tiny everywhere else, I struggle to find a pair of well fitting trousers, so you can imagine my excitement when this pair from Missguided with a super low price tag did exactly the trick for me, sitting perfectly around my waist and hips aswell as balancing it all out. Happy Laura, indeed.

The Puffa Bomber

It's that annoying time of year where it's still supposed to be warm, and on occasion it is, but it's also mostly freezing and you still have so much left of your summer wardrobe to wear - so, in true Brit style, the simple solution is to just throw on a jacket. Problemo solved. This one from Pretty Little Thing is a padded puffball of perfection for those chilly summer nights, straight through to the ice cold delves of Winter in a classic style that you won't ever need to update.
