LOOK FANTASTIC BEAUTY BOX (APRIL 2015) #LFBEAUTYBOX

Behold, the beautifully packaged Look Fantastic Beauty Box! This is my first ever beauty box, so I was pleasantly surprised to open it and find products that i'll actually use - and i've gotten so into make up and beauty lately so it's great to have some new finds in my life!
Back when I lived with my friends, my housemates all had beauty box subscriptions and it was so exciting every time their boxes were delivered and we got to see the treats they had that month - and even better was that because you have no idea what is going to come in the box, you discover products you would have never considered using before.
The #LFBEAUTYBOX is worth £45 and can be bought singularly (£15) or subscribed to for 3 months (£40), 6 months (£75), or the entire year (£135) - so is perfect for people who want to commit or don't want to commit and with a really great price tag too considering the value of products and great brands you get inside - and judging by the great picks in the previous boxes I definitely think i'll be picking another up!

Lines

Sunglasses - Jeepers Peepers c/o Lavish Alice (here)
Dress - c/o TFNC (here)
Shoes - Nelly (here)

Nothing beats a t-shirt dress for simple versatility - along with culottes and shirt dresses, this is another garment that I just have a hundred of because they are such a staple item. I have to admit, stripes are never usually my first point of call, especially horizontal ones (don't go there, peeps!), but there was something about these referee style stripes at TFNC that I just really loved (they even have a pair of wide leg trousers in the print too which are just gorgeeeeous!) - I guess there's a first for everything!
The new season is very much well underway and i'm thoroughly enjoying finally being able to have my legs out with no tights and ditch the sheepskin parka for a few months at least, and my S/S15 wishlists are just getting longer and longer - hurry payday!

Bardot

Hat - Borrowed from Annabel
Dress - c/o Wal G (here)
Boots - c/o Missguided (here)

The zip-up dress is always a summer-sixties winner and paired with thigh-highs makes for a real nostalgic outfit, and let's face it - i'm obsessed with the era at the moment! And apparently i'm still in my neutral palette phase, maybe it's me mourning the fact that my students days are very much over and I now have to go into the real world and find myself a grown up job - eek! Queue stressful job hunting days! Exciting and scary....

I've got a war in my mind

Hat - Warehouse (here)
Jacket - Vintage
Dress - Missguided (here)
Boots - Missguided
Sunglasses - Jeepers Peepers c/o Lavish Alice (here)

How many shirt dresses until i'm done buying shirt dresses? The limit does not exist apparently... I go through phases with how much effort I wanna put in when getting dressed and lately, throwing something on as simple as a shirt dress is my thing... And who else is super happy that layers can finally be abolished and exchanged for spring dresses and lightweight jackets? But one daunting thing that spring means - graduation is near!

#DebsLovesMums - What my Mother taught me

I was contacted by Debenhams to be a part of their Mother's day celebrations which is their #DebsLovesMums campaign, and being at the other side of the country from my mother I figured, why not - I haven't been able to spend mother's day at home for 3 years now being so far away! A photo with my mum seems to be a rare occasion as this was the only one I could find (and with my baby sis... I look nothing like my family do I? Haha) - and this is one I was forced into last Summer on one of their visits to London - believe it or not, i'm not much of a photo person!

My mum is still a young mum and to be fair, I'm the teacher when it comes to all things fashion and beauty - but that doesn't mean my mum hasn't taught me anything over the years - I mean, she's a bigger party animal these days than I could ever be, even in my prime 20's! We pretty much disagree on everything and i've always been very rebellious and don't really listen to anybody else and I impulsively make my own decisions, but in recent years she taught me that I should only worry about number 1 and work for the career of my dreams which is exactly what i'm doing now!

Along with having me as part of their Mother's Day celebration, they have also provided me with the best gifts ever! The La Perla perfume is absolutely gorgeous and the Babyliss Diamond hair dryer was also a great touch, especially with my Mum being a hair dresser!

How are you celebrating your Mother's today? And what did yours teach you?

The 70's jumpsuit

Roll neck jumper - Mango (only £4.99!) (here)
Jumpsuit - c/o In Love With Fashion
Pumps - c/o Flossy's (here)

The current 70's revival is EVERYWHERE at the moment and for good reason - I mean, how can anyone resist the green and gold based colour palettes, floaty pieces in cute, repetitive prints and button down mini's? I definitely have the disco-era-fever right now and believe me when I say, my entire summer and festival season will consist as me as the biggest 70's reject you ever saw - plus, any excuse to continue my wide leg/flare obsession!
Are you guys obsessing over next seasons biggest trend? Makes a change from those 'groundbreaking' spring florals, don't you think?

Yet another pair of culottes....

Sunglasses - H&M
Jumper - Zara
Culottes - F&F - only £9 (here)
Shoes - Nelly (here)

Behold, the ankle wrap mules that I won't ever be taking off... I had never even heard of Nelly.com before but somehow on an evening of procrastination I stumbled upon these amazing shoes and spent my grocery money on them - same goes for these £9 culottes from F&F - how could I not?
I should probably go on a massive spending ban and resolve my out-of-control addiction, but in the name of fashion and the economy, I think it's probably best that I don't...
