Don't be a square

Top - c/o 6KS (here)
Skirt - c/o Glamorous (here)
Bag - River Island
Shoes - Heelberry (here)
Sunglasses - c/o Oasap (here)

I'm a big fan of a volume-laden sleeve so the latest kimono-style cropped sleeve trend is one of my favourites right now... Sometimes tops can just be boring so it's nice to just have a little bit of something going on.
I've had this skirt for a while now and haven't had a chance to wear it but now (for us Northerners residing down South at least) it's pins-out weather so I went for it - dusted off those cobwebs and out came the legs!
You know me, I love a good print, so I especially love a good print clash and one things for sure is that its damn hard to do - but if you're up for the challenge, I definitely think that checks, stripes, polka dots and leopard prints are the best places to start for a more successful print clash - I think they're very much the 'blacks and whites' of the print spectrum and could be paired with anything. Get rid of all that black in your closet and try something new ;)

On Thursday, me and Jess headed over to Great Portland Street for the Motel Rocks #motelfestival party, which involved malibu concoctions in red paper cups, lots of candy floss and popcorn - and of course, the blogger's beloved photo booth. For entertainment, a couple of bands played - not really my scene but they were good, and to follow them Billie JD Porter played a set of some old school R&B, which was definitely more up my alley!
I'm a big Motel fan so it was great to be there and see my blogging friends as well as seeing all of the pretty clothes hung up for us to gander at. I was particularly in love with the swimwear and the amazing perforated leather pieces - they are definitely something I need to get my mitts on this Summer - and that lemon print is pretty darn cool too... Oh Motel, always winning my heart with your prints....

#MOTELFESTIVAL : What I Wore

Top - Missguided
Shorts - c/o River Island (here)
Bag - Celine
Shoes - c/o River Island
Jacket - c/o Sheinside (here)

Last night me and the majority of the UK blogosphere headed off to the #MOTELFESTIVAL event in London. I headed over with the lovely Jess of Copper Garden and obviously being typical bloggers, we did each others photos.
It was so good to actually get out of the house... I know, I know, I said I wanted to hibernate for a while but sometimes a bit of fresh air and good company is needed too! Plus it was great to finally meet Jess who lives literally around the corner from me.
I finally cracked out these amazing shorts I picked up from River Island about a month ago when I was in my 'Pretty Woman' phase and man aliiiiive I am obsessed with them. River Island, please make me a matching jacket and make me the happiest fashionista that ever lived!
I think this short style will be my go-to this year, along with culottes. They're just ridiculously comfy, ridiculously chic, and lets face it - sometimes we just need to put our bums away!

Don't forget to nominate me for Personal Style Newcomer in the Company style blogger awards! It would be so great, i've been working super hard since I started last May so I would literally love you forever! You can do that HERE

Easy, tiger

Sweater - c/o Oasap (here)
Shorts - ASOS
Shoes - c/o River Island

Clearly these insane River Island shoes are my go-to shoe now... Maybe an excuse to buy a new pair? (Who needs an excuse!?) I'm definitely on this cleated sole hype and my bookmarks are busting with the thousands of options I have ready for loan day next week - someone restrain me on Monday and cut up all of my cards!
But anyway, I recently discovered the wonderful Oasap during my fashion junkie internet travels and i'm forever becoming more and more impressed with Chinese wholesale websites. They're inexpensive, and although i'm skeptical about the quality generally, I don't seem to be disappointed. Sure, it's great to say that you treat yourself to something from a reputable store, but when you're crazy about clothes as I am, the store they come from isn't such a big deal.

#FASHIONEASTER

Dress - c/o Missguided (here)
Shirt - Topshop
Shoes - Missguided

It's that time of year again where life consists of chocolate and only chocolate and it never ends well... Every year I seem to be super unlucky and spend Easter alone, meaning I have to buy my own Easter eggs and find my own fun while everyone else spends time with their families... Joys of being an adult right? But this year my Easter has been made by my absolute favourite store (Missguided) sending me the sweetest package ever as part of their whole #FASHIONEASTER thang. I am so grateful to have received this perfect dress along with a few other goodies such as Barry M make up and some Thorntons chocolate. Missguided, you have officially made me love you even more and I never knew that was possible!
This has definitely earned its spot as my favourite piece in my wardrobe and i'm gonna wear it for every occasion until the end of time - and you might have guessed i'm slightly pastel pink obsessed at the moment!
Anyway, I just wanted to wish you all a happy Easter and I hope you all gain a few pounds with your mounds of food this weekend - and if you don't celebrate Easter then happy general weekend!

Nominate me in the Company style blogger awards for personal style newcomer here if you fancy being nice today :)

The inner Cher Horowitz

Sunglasses - c/o Oasap (here)
Tshirt - (c/o ASAP54) ASOS (here)
Bag - (c/o ASAP54) ASOS (here)
Skirt - (c/o ASAP54) New Look via ASOS
Shoes - c/o River Island

I know i've been a bit slack lately but i've been working super duper hard at Richard Nicoll so it's been pretty hard fitting things in - plus i've really grown accustomed to having someone (Annabel) take my photos for me so the thought of using my tripod and self timer just makes me want to groan!
Today (for once) it was warm enough to have the old pins out and dust off those cobwebs which I feel pretttty good about since working in fashion really keeps you in shape, so any past insecurities are definitely fading away and i'm no longer drowning my sorrows in McDonald's quarter pounders 4 times a week!
I got this skirt a few weeks ago thanks to the lovely people at ASAP54 who gifted me with an ASOS voucher as a thank you for my views I gave before launching their brand new app (which is on the app store now) - and i've been itching to wear it since then. Isn't it ridiculously cute? Unfortunately for any of you guys who are in awe after it like I was, ASOS put it in the sale and now it's gone forever :(
I love it so much i'm thinking that i'll be entering new ventures over this summer and making similar tartan skirts and maybe even matching tops - as well as faux leather clutches in holographic and patent since I have some spare fabric hanging around. Being in this new creative environment is really pushing me to keep on working lately! I'm also thinking of starting up Youtube soon so let me know how you feel about that :)

That's enough of my babbling anyway. Don't forget to nominate me for best personal style newcomer in the Company blog awards if you love me - it would mean a lot! You can do that here

Geometry

Jacket - c/o Sheinside (here)
Jumpsuit - c/o Glamorous (here)
Belt - c/o New Look
Shoes - c/o Heelberry (here)

Today, there were many technical issues. It just so seems that everytime I go to take photos in this amazing jumpsuit, something happens. Like today. It chucked it down, I took my SLR to the studio with me, only to realise my battery was charging at home and my SD card was no where to be seen, but luckily Annabel saved the day and here it is in all of it's monochrome glory - don't you just love ittttt?
I'm really in a jumpsuit phase right now and I've had this bookmarked for a very long time. The fabric is gorgeous and I can't obsess anymore than I already do over Glamorous. I fell in love with them after the whole green tartan playsuit last season which i'm still devastated that I don't own!
Life is pretty much on a fast train right now and i'm currently prepping for a full summer of interning before my final year, as well as actually still interning. I don't ever wanna stop *except to eat chocolate*

And don't forget to nominate me in the Company style blog awards (if you want to ;) ) - i'm going for personal style newcomer and it would be amazing to be shortlisted :) http://www.company.co.uk/magazine-hq/company-style-blogger-awards-2014

COMPANY STYLE BLOGGER AWARDS 2014

Hello there my lovelies!
I do apologise for my recent absence, unfortunately there was a death in the family, so i've taken a little time away from everything but i'll be getting back on track now.

As you may know, the Company Style Blogger awards are officially open for nominations and I figured, why not go for it?
I'm going for personal style newcomer and it would be the best thing ever if you could nominate me (here)
I have so much fun sharing my personal style on here and nothing feels better than seeing that people are actually reading, so it would be so amazing to be acknowledged by Company! So yep, please nominate me, I will love you all forever and ever and continue to post until i'm totally old and wrinkly!
