The Russell Brand moment

Coat - c/o Sheinside (here)
Cropped sweater - Primark
Jeans - c/o New Look (here)
Socks - c/o River Island (here)
Shoes - River Island

Not to confuse you with the title of this post, of course I do not think that I resemble Russell Brand at all in the slightest here - but the coolest thing ever happened while me and Annabel were taking photos today - RUSSELL BRAND WAS RIGHT BEHIND US RIGHT HERE IN THOSE IMAGES. Fan girl moment over.
Another awesome thing this week - I lost weight. The downside? My brand new mom jeans as seen above are too blooming big for me hence the belt :( sad times.
I've never been a jeans girl before so it's slightly strange for me to say that I actually love these. Even if they are a tad too big right now (i'm sure Easter will solve that). They're just ridiculously comfy, I mean, how did I not know this before? I've hardly taken them off since I received them and I just loved today's pairing of pastel and acid wash. It's also still pretty weird for me with the whole flats thing, but running around doing Intern errands in clunky heels definitely does not sound appealing to me!

The return of the Paisley

Jumpsuit - c/o Motel Rocks (here
Blazer - Missguided
Sunnies - c/o Choies (here)
Bag - Zara
Socks - c/o River Island (here)
Sequin converse (limited edition)

As print-manic as I am, one print I always steered clear of was definitely paisley. It was so girly and blah - but this season Motel Rocks definitely won me over with some of their amazing prints (you can shop their amazing paisley selection here). I've always been such a fan as they definitely have their own vibe which I just love and they always hit the nail on the head with all-round clothes so i'm definitely well pleased about my latest wardrobe addition that I can rock all S/S long! And of course, I wasn't fully dressed without something pink. I should really stop with the pink stuff....
It's my second week at Richard Nicoll and I am still completely loving it. I just don't want to go back to uni, I want to stay here forever. Of course, I have all those typical intern jobs (minus making coffee of course because they're such a lovely bunch to us!) but i'm also learning so much and becoming ridiculously inspired - but i'm a total nerd so that's a given. Don't forget to check out my fellow intern and new photographer Annabel at Adorned in Monochrome and show her some lovin' :)

Shoreditch living

Tshirt - c/o Katie Eary (here)
Jeans - c/o New Look
Shoes - New Look
Bag - Zara

I'm fully aware this outfit is definitely not on the scale of my usual, but this week i've been having to choose sensibly for studio life at Richard Nicoll - not to mention wear flats (I also have a partially broken right foot so i'm on a heels haitus!)
I kinda touched on what I was getting up to in my last post but I wanted to continue the waffling a tad more now my first week is over.
I can't even put into words how amazing my experience has been already, in just 5 days. I've been studying Fashion for nearly 5 years now, and I have never had my eyes opened and been inspired as much as I have since going into industry properly for the first time, there is literally nothing like it.
It's amazing to see how the work turn-around is in the real world, these people have it so much worse than us students but they love what they do - and that's exactly the type of person I want to be.
I must admit, being around the AW14 collection every single day is ridiculously hard, and dealing with pre-orders and seeing buyer's selections hurts my inner shopaholic's soul because I want it all to be mine!
I actually made a cheeky little order yesterday of the amazing blue metallic loafers that the models wore in the show, which will be on sale later this year in collaboration with Swear London.

The marble effect

Blazer - Missguided
Tee - c/o River Island
Skirt - c/o Persun (here)

I managed to take these photos over the weekend when it was super sunny (a little too sunny for photos may I add...) and it was so amazing to finally have my legs out and enjoy the great outdoors before being back in the studio for the rest of my life.
I'm now living the Shoreditch life working at Richard Nicoll and I am looooving it. I even squeezed a casual outfit photo sesh this morning before I headed off to work which will definitely become a regular thing since my fellow classmate and intern is a blogger too (check her out at Adorned in Monochrome - she'll be on her feet very soon and she's amaaaaze! I promise you're going to love her!).
Anyhoo, i'm currently loving some of the new stuff on the Persun website, and I had to have this Zara-esque skirt. It's ridiculously cute, and I usually go for the whole androgynous comfy thing so there was definitely room for a new skirt in my thousand and one wardrobes that have no space whatsoever for anything new..... And yes, there's a lack of colour going on here for me, don't get used to it ;)

Baby, put on heart shaped sunglasses

Sunnies - Ebay
Dress - c/o Fashion Union (here)
Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell

So, the sun finally came and what an inconvenience photo-wise! But, moaning aside, I thought it was the perffffect opportunity to crack out this gorgeous shift dress from Fashion Union. I've never actually had anything from them before so I was looking forward to receiving it and now I have, I will definitely be going back - the fabric is so nice and being a design student i'm pretty critical of high street clothing. I don't have much in my wardrobe that's appropriate for everything so when I saw this dress I thought it would make a great addition to my wardrobe. I should really stop choosing pink things...

Mrs Kennedy

Sunnies - H&M
T-shirt - Camden high street
Trousers - c/o River Island (here)
socks - c/o River Island (here)
Shoes - c/o River Island

So London finally got some spring-like temperatures which i've been waiting for since Winter came in and i'm definitely gonna make the most of it before it disappears - because hey, it's the UK afterall.... *que rain*
I. am. obsessed. with these trousers! They're ridiculously cute and they fit so well. I've always wanted a pair of tartan trousers but i'm pretty sensible with money so I never bothered to jump on that whole bandwagon, but I found these the other day and I figured they were the perfect tartan trousers to transition into spring and summer so I snatched them up. I'm literally praying they bring a matching jacket out too to fulfil my co-ord dreams!
Spring/summer at River Island has definitely made me a happy little lady...

I'm so fancy

Don't mind the swollen ankle...

Sunnies - c/o Choies (here)
Jacket - c/o Sammydress (here)
Dress - ASOS
Shoes - c/o River Island

It's safe to say i'm definitely a 'life's too short to wear boring clothes' kinda gal - since being a child i've given my family heart attack after heart attack with some of the things i've worn and they're lucky that i'm wearing this at the other side of the country today otherwise there would definitely be a 'what the bloody 'ell are you wearing, Laura?' remarks!
I had my eye on this jacket for a while and I wasn't really sure about it until a stylist came into the office at my last internship wearing it and she looked mega hot, so I snatched it up the first chance I got. I do admit, it is a little out there, even for me, but what's the fun in a regular old jacket? It's from a store called Sammydress which is a wholesale website based in Hong Kong and they literally have thousands and thousands of items up there. It's just the same as anywhere, you have to keep an open mind and remember you get what you pay for, but when it's fast fashion that doesn't really matter.
The dress is an old gem in my closet that I will always love because a perfect all-year-round dress and it's majorly cute. Oh, ASOS.
The shoes are what I got from River Island with my voucher that I won (see last post) and i'm just so in love with them right now. I saw a few bloggers had the pink ones which are sooo hot and then they all sold out and i'm totally poor but I found these in the Oxford Circus store under the 'last chance to buy' section and they were the very last pair... It was fate, honestly.

RIVER ISLAND HAUL

I've been incredibly busy this past week, hence the total hiatus going on here - but i've finally finished my latest collection and handed in and i'm now ready to get back on track and that all starts with a cheeky haul!
A couple of weeks ago I won a £150 River Island voucher which i'm dead chuffed about, and today I finaaaaally got a chance to head up to Oxford Street and get my spend on which i've not actually done since 2012 when I had a job before uni... Oh how I miss those money making days...
Anyhoo... Here's some of my cheeky purchases that I made today!

These hot mama's... The last pair in the entire store. I saw a few people with the pink versions and was totally in love with them, so I snapped them up in a size 7, which are a tad too big, but can you blame me?

I did realllllly want the 'Donut talk to me' tee, but I couldn't find it anywhere which really sucked and I hate shopping so I refused to go to the flagship store because i'd have been there for absolute hours deliberating what to buy, but I still think this is kinda cute...

How cute is this? At first I just picked it up for the sake of it, and then (with all the 20,000 other items I took to the changing room) I tried it on, and as soon as I zipped it, I knew it was the one. True love. Find it here

For a few days now i've been having the debate about whether to get the trouser version of these, or the skort version.... I'm still obsessed with the whole check thing going down and these were so hard to resist, i'm a sucker for a pair of trousers - not to mention, my thighs made this decision for me... Definitely not short ready quite yet! Here's the links to the amazingness: trousers / skorts

I'm a bit late on this one, but i've wanted a pair of school girl socks since they surfaced the fashion world like a year ago, and I finally got some! They're so cute and I can't wait to wear them with my new hot-as-hell shoes! Find them here

I think that these (along with the shoes of course) are my favourite purchase today. I know I can't wear them for a while but how 80's cool?
