Fashion week faves

Now, I know this Fashion week season isn't over yet, and Paris is still looming - but there have been so many amazing collections that I just can't stop looking at *cough* Moschino *cough*. I didn't actually head out to LFW this season due to an injury, but I was chilling in bed and keeping up with the antics in between movies and working on my own collection.
Here are the looks i'm pining for from A/W '14/15 (this would probably all be Celine if this was a couple of days later, here is your pre-warning instagram followers hahaha)

Jil Sander / Marni / Dsquared
Moschino deserved it's own row...
Meadham Kirchoff / KTZ / Ashish
Peter Pilotto / Christopher Kane / Mary Katrantzou
Topshop Unique / Richard Nicoll / Marios Schwab
House of Holland / Eudon Choi / Proenza Schouler
The Row / Jeremy Scott / Victoria Beckham

Pink on pink on pink

Blazer - Missguided
Tshirt - Rihanna for River Island
Trousers - Topshop
Shoes - Missguided (similar here)
Sunglasses - c/o Choies (here)

So i've been moaning about Spring not being here yet, and the first sight of it today inconvenienced me a little too much! There was so much sunlight hitting my garden that it was so hard to find somewhere that would get the right exposure *sadface* - it is kinda nice to ditch the coat though. You might be thinking i'm getting all ahead of myself here which I probably am, but being Northern means i'm used to far colder than London, so to me, this is warm!
As you can tell this is a make-shift co-ord attempt, but I love this pairing all the same. This would be what I wore to LFW day one but unfortunately i've been a crappy blogger and couldn't make it because of an injury :( hey, ho, there's always next season. BUT, on a brighter note speaking of all things fashiony, I start working at Richard Nicoll the week after next which is the most exciting thing ever! My dream has come true!

Taking the biscuit

Jacket - the back of my wardrobe
Top - Missguided (similar here)
Skirt - Topshop (similar here)
Bag - Celine

You know when I say I like to make the most of my wardrobe? Well, this outfit takes the biscuit a little bit in that sense. I've had this jacket since I was 12 - and i'm not even kidding. This was back when my mum bought my clothes for me and it was from Pilot - god forbid would I shop there now, but I do kinda like this jacket for a smart-cas look, I mean, it's just a brown denim jacket after all.
I also stopped wearing bodycon for a while cos i've developed a Kardashian-style curve lately from my on-going, intimate relationship with Ben and Jerry's but it's chicken and rice from now on - any diets or detox recommendations are welcome!
You might also be thinking 'is she not cold', well yes is the answer. I'm so excited for spring that obviously i'm acting like it's already here because I don't want to believe that it's winter anymore. I have my Steve Angello and Alesso sets blasting today, reminiscing Creamfields 2013... Oh how I miss you warmer months!

The 'date night' outfit

what to wear on a date

Jacket - c/o Sheinside (here)
Jumpsuit - c/o Inlovewithfashion (here)
Shoes - New Look

Since it's a complete wind storm outside, I figured it was the perfect opportunity to take advantage of this amazing jumpsuit I picked up from Inlovewithfashion with some store credit I had. I originally wanted it in blue but it was out of stock *cries*... But let's face it, pink is pretty much my 'thang'. One thing I do have to get off my chest here though (which probably hasn't even bothered anyone at all but i'm paranoid) is that I have something wrong with my lower legs from being wheelchair bound when I was younger and they're all swollen at the moment, one of the disadvantages of being moi!
I also thought this would just be such a perfect outfit for Valentine's, kinda the whole 'keep it cool' kind of look for whatever the occasion. Not that it would be any use for me, i'll be in bed watching Harry Potter since my valentine is 200 miles away, it's ok though, Daniel Radcliffe is the perfect date!
And in the spirit of Cupid (and hopefully the transitional period!), here's a bit of a wishlist that I made yesterday in a hope that they could be mine.......

Essie nail polish set (similar here)
Soap and Glory 'Great Kisser' (here)
Hotel Chocolat goodies (Valentines selection here)
Soap and Glory 'Glow Lotion' (here)

I've been a very lucky lady this Valentine's and the lovely people for F&F clothing sent me the best Valentine's gift I ever received (sorry hubby!).
I'm a huge lingerie fan/addict and I believe every girl should have a gorgeous new set this time of year, whether you've been lucky enough to be gifted it, or just bought it yourself - nothing makes you feel better than a well-fitting, sexy set of undies! I'm pleasantly surprised by this set, it's such a gorgeous addition to my collection and the prices are just unbeatable, so if you're for some reason a guy scowering my blog and looking for a gift for your better half this Valentine's, or you're single and wanna cheer yourself up next Friday, the above is the way to go! F&F have such an amazing range right now, and i'm excited to see more! *Not to mention chocolate is always the way to a girl's heart*
Unfortunately, Fashion week will be my official Valentine this year so i'll be celebrating the week after thanks to Geography! I'm sure Cupid will strike me with his arrow and make me fall in love with some fabulous collection at least...

Pastels vs Brights

pastel coat

pastel coat

house of holland sweater

white court shoes

Coat - c/o Sheinside (here)
Jumper - House of Holland
Trousers - Topshop
Shoes - Missguided (similar here)
Clutch - Matalan

I took these on Wednesday before the New Look 'Discover Denim' event and not only was there a tube strike, there was what seemed to be the start of an apocalypse which does not make for the greatest outfit snaps! I did wanna be a little 'fashiony' seeing as I was going to an event but i'm a real wuss and warmth wins everytime!
This jumper is one of my favourite things in my entire wardrobe. I am literally Henry Holland's biggest fan, I ask for something new from House of Holland every christmas without fail (because being a student means only Santa can afford it!). It might be from A/W '12, but it definitely makes every winter that little bit more enjoyable for me. As for the trousers, I just can't get enough of a trouser/jogger hybrid, i'm a real sucker for them! It's a way of being lazy, and looking good at the same time...
February is a majorly busy month for me this year. Fashion week is only days away now, I have deadlines coming out of my ears and in a few weeks, i'll officially be an intern at a reeeeally awesome studio in Hoxton which i'm super excited about as it's one of my favourite labels - I will reveal all soon!

NEW LOOK 'DISCOVER DENIM' RANGE

new look denim

Today was a hectic day because of the whole tube strike in London, but the silver lining is that I got to go to the fabulous 'Discover Denim' event that New Look held at their HQ! And one thing's for sure, they sure know how to throw a press event. Everything was perfect, there was a denim theme running throughout the entire room and the washing machines as tables was the greatest touch ever! Not to mention the blueberry jar slushys were beeeautiful! It was literally Denim heaven... But enough of that and onto the real reason I was there...
I've never been a huge denim fan, mainly because i'm tall and find it hard to find jeans that don't sag on my backside, but seeing what's on offer this season is definitely tempting me to change my mind (I even have a pair of mom jeans on the way which i'm ridiculously excited about!). Whatever you're looking for - New Look have it, in denim of course! Cami's, jumpsuits, dresses, shorts, skirts, joggers - you name it, they got it! The majority of the new range is already in stores, with the rest dropping in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes out for some of this denim fabulousness because you're going to need it in your wardrobe this S/S - particularly the super hot denim jumpsuit in the image below, yum!

Velvet and leather

fashion blogger

velvet skater skirt

velvet skater skirt

doc marten dupes

Jacket - c/o Sheinside (here)
Top - Bikbok
Skirt - Primark
Socks - gift
Boots - Missguided

Braving the wind in a skater skirt and letting passers-by unfortunately see my bum was definitely not one of my brightest ideas, but as soon as I received this jacket I knew that this was the first thing I wanted to wear with it - nothing beats a skater skirt and bralet combo! I was ridiculously happy to be given this since my last leather jacket was given to me by a friend and was too short in the arms and I wore it everywhere so it was covered in chewing gum and god-knows what else.
I've had this bralet from Bikbok for a good few years now and i'm still in love (and it still fits, somehow!). They used to have a store by Beyond Retro behind Oxford Street and I was in love with everything. I remember thinking 'how did I not know about this brand?'. Unfortunately they only ship to Norway and Sweden and all of their UK stores closed down which sucks for us, especially with the recent Olsen twins collab *cries*...
