OUTFIT OF THE DAY: Deadlines and birthdays.

Life has been ridiculously hectic the past week and admittedly i've been absolutely rubbish with doing anything i'm supposed to be doing other than uni work. It was my birthday on Sunday and I was unbelievably lucky gift-wise. I'm not usually the kind of girl that gets everything that she wants, but since it was my 21st - that kind of changed a little bit just for one day. I headed into Central London and met up with my parents and sister, where they had a giant Chanel cake waiting for me, looking pretty in it's pink quilted glory (and I must say it's damn delicious - and so big, I had to freeze it!). Cards followed and shortly after so did chocolates... But then the best gift of all emerged in the form of a gigantic Harvey Nichols bag, which I opened to find a black Celine bag which i've been lusting over for probably 2 years. Literally still in shock and staring at it every minute of the day... It gets better though...
My mum then told me to open the bag, and when I did I came to find a smaller Harvey Nichols bag, and when I opened that I found an Alexander McQueen scarf! I mean, what. the. fuck. I swear I switched lives with some Beverly Hills child for the day. Nothing more exciting happened after that, just lunch and champagne - I'd have probably passed out if anyone gave me anymore extravagant surprises in one day! And I definitely don't think there will be anymore birthday presents for at least another decade!

CAGECITY S/S 14 PRESS DAY

As you may already know, i'm currently interning at Cagecity, and last week was our first ever press day - and may I say it went down pretty darn well!
It was a colourful, cocktail-filled affair with a sprinkling of sugar here there and everywhere and lots of people stopped by to see what we had in store for next season.
We also had some fun with some DIY beanie-customising which everyone who walked through the doors had a crack at.
It was really exciting for me aswell as the brand because i'd never helped with anything like this before, and what I do at Cagecity is get together fresh, new talent and take on board their collections, so it was awesome seeing the new collections for S/S that I had personally picked out. Here are some of my many photos from the day, it was a good en!

Outfit of the day: Explicit content

Yesterday it was finnnnnally the Cagecity press day - and all of our hard work paid off, except i'm paying for it today... I'm literally aching everywhere and i'm soooo tired but it was so good to see everything go well and catch up with some bloggers! I'm currently getting through the thoooousands of photos from the night on my camera so I will be posting about it very soon!
Next week is a super busy week too - there's the New Look press day, and then two days later I won the chance to be the blogger at their looovely Christmas party with Company magazine, so hopefully I will be bumping into some celebs and I will definitely be getting a ton of snaps for you all to see, exciting! Definitely a reason to love Winter, right?
Speaking of all things wonderful and wintery, I am literally in love with this sweater. Had my eye on it for donkeys now and finally got my mitts on it! I refuse to remove it from my body, it's just too cold to be without it! I'm a sucker for a crop jumper, and I definitely had room for a black one in my life!

Outfit of the day: Bud life

This week is an exciting week in the life of Laura - it's my 21st birthday this Sunday, but just as exciting on Thursday is the Cagecity press day! We've been working super hard in the office to get it perfect, so i'm so excited to see how it all comes together and finally show everyone what we've been working on for the past few weeks - if you're gonna be there, hit me up on twitter or in the comments section! I can't wait to meet some fellow bloggers!
Another exciting thing going down this week is the opening of Winter Wonderland! I'm such a kid when it comes to christmas so i'm ridiculously excited for a few steins of beer and some festive spirit!
My deadline is fastly approaching (2nd December) so i'm literally tied down in the land of Fashion design right now, stressful times! I'll be so happy to get it all done and handed in so I can go home for Christmas and spend time with my family and my baby cousins, anyone else as excited for the coming months as me (minus the weather)?

So unlike me / Annabelle's Wigs review

As the title says, this is so unlike me, so I apologise for the crap outfit. I was really just chilling on my day off haha!

I just wanted to show you all what the lovely people at Annabelle's wigs sent me. I've been quite a fan since they released the 'Rihanna' wig, a short red wig from Rih's 'Loud' era, and been contemplating for a while, but other than switching up my look, I couldn't figure out when and if i'd actually wear one.
I must say, they are pretty damn good at their jobs. Back in my teens and the tacky extension era of our lives, I could NEVER find anything to match up perfectly with my hair so I was quite worried about matching up as for some reason, I just have that shade of blonde that's either too light, too yellow, or too dark. I sent over a photo of my hair for them to match up and what dya know? When I received it, perfect match! They sent me a 3/4 wig to try, which i'd really recommend if you're worried about an obvious hair-line as you can just style your natural hair at the front to cover the line, or style up with accessories like myself. I just hope the photos show how lovely the hair really is! (and please mind my not-so-lovely ginger roots, today i'm going back pink ;) )

Ways to wear the pastel coat

As usual, i'm just sharing my lovin' for my new mint coat, but it's really cute so you can't blame me!
I just wanna apologise for my shittiness the past week with my posts, i've been so busy, but it's almost the weekend so I thought i'd get up early and squeeze in a cheeky post before I went to my lecture.
My current project ends soon so i've been super busy designing like a crazy lady aswell as helping to sort the Cage City press day which is next week (hit me up if you're going, it's gonna be coooool!) so, an exciting week as always in Laura-land!
So, i'll love ya and leave ya with this strange outfit combination that I rocked to work yesterday...

SNUGGLING UP WITH SOUTHBEACH

This is definitely a very different post for me today, I mean, when have you ever seen me au-naturelle in my PJs? Well, today!
I was recently lucky enough to win myself an amazing goodie bag full of treats such as chick flicks, popcorn, face masks, thorntons choccys, Lauren's Way tan, and best of all, a £70 gift voucher to spend at Southbeach Swimwear.
I discovered Southbeach at the AX Paris party last month when I found a 40% off voucher in my goodie bag after the event and of course, like a true shopping addict, checked them out immediately.
I fell in love straight away, although i'm excited to see what they have for us in the Summer, at the moment they have the cutest winter accessories and things to snuggle up in which is just perfection - and their onesies are amaziiiiing! If you're anything like me and you just love getting all cosy and warm at this time of year, or you're looking for the perfect Christmas gifts, I really recommend them.
Here's everything I treat myself to with my gift voucher, and for the record, i'll actually get dressed and do my hair and make up next time I post hahaha!

For a 15% discount on loungewear and accessories use WONDERLAND15 at the checkout (valid til November 30th) :)

CHRISTMAS WISHLIST

This year is a strange year for me Christmas-list-wise - i'm usually ridiculously excited and know exactly what I want... But this year, my mind is blank. I think this is partly to do with the fact that every other year i've managed to find productive things to ask for like uni equipment, new camera etc. etc... This year, I need nothing... And i'm also 21 next week, maybe i'm just getting old.
For over a week now i've been trying to pull together a reasonable list to send to 'Santa' that doesn't consist of Celine and Alexander Wang, 'cause let's face it, I ain't gonna get it!
Here's a working progress of my Christmas list that i've managed to conjure up...

Ways to wear the pastel coat

I'm so glad to finally fit in a blogging day... I must admit though the only reason this is is because I twagged... But I REALLY needed to wake up naturally, i'm so tired of that damn iPhone alarm! I'm so naughty :( i'm currently packing to be a cheeky daughter and surprise my parent's up North and just turn up like a stray at their door and I am NOT looking forward to the cold! (Good job I have my lovely pastel coat, eh?)
So as promised here's another 'ways to wear' kinda post with my brand spanking new pastel coat. This is what I wore to the office yesterday, repping Cagecity and all! Also it's super grim today, so sorry about the dark photos - i'm not a vampire that has to avoid daylight, I promise!
