Outfit of the day: AW13 leather / Doc Marten dupes

Adjusting to the new season is becoming difficult for me, I don't even have any tights to make anything transitional - so yeah, hating life right now! I recently went shopping ready for A/W and i'm still waiting for most of it but the pants in this look are from my most recent 'haul' - I also got some pink hair dye (woop!) which I have applied once but it didn't work so i'm gonna do it again, so keep an eye out for the possibility of pink hair very soon!
I'm adorrrrring leather this season and I personally think it's the biggest trend for AW 2013, purely because it's just so warm and looks awesome... I'm dying to buy into the tartan trend too... Student loan, why won't you stretch far enough for everything my heart desires?

As usual, i've been scowering the web for all the things that I want and can't afford... I'm a self-confessed shopping addict/window shopper in need of help. I know this. What's a fashion student to do?
I'm suffering from A/W fever and finally bought a new coat, but I still want everything else. Unfortunately student loan doesn't cater for all the millions of things that I want. I'm also going through a new jewellery phase lately - i've never really been into it but i'm absolutely dyyying for this statement Eagle necklace from Distressed UK - so here's a few bits that i'm swooning over and considering selling my soul for.... Except for the coat... I gave in and bought it and just couldn't wait any longer to show everyone it (oops)

Outfit of the day: Busy, busy busyyyyy

So i'm currently writing this in class... Back to the busy life - stress galore. I'm trying to keep on top of things which is becoming ridiculously hard so sorry if I don't post as often :(
If you care at all, i'm currently working on a big project working on trends and tailoring and it will include a photoshoot which you might be lucky enough to see! It's kinda nice to be back being creative but i'm preparing for the shit ton of work that's ahead of me. Anyone else got back-to-uni blues?
Here's yesterday's uni outfit:

A/W Wishlist :

Winter is looming and the skies in London are getting greyer by the day, so i've been on a wild hunt for winter clothes these past few days and one store that's really got me torn over what to buy is - they're one of my faves because they're so cheap and have endless amounts of amazing things to choose from, and not only that, the last time I ordered I was so happy with the quality, so I highly recommend them. To tempt you even more, you get 15% off your first order, like it isn't already well priced!
Me and my housemates have spent days on the site figuring out what to buy for our Winter wardrobes and we still haven't narrowed it down, damn being a fashion student!
Here's some of the things we're fighting over right now:

Outfit of the day: Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.

The weather in London is playing tricks on us as per, and one minute it's summer again, the next, those typical grey skies that we're used to anyway... But this raises the problem, what the hell do I wear? I've been dying to wear this oversized tee though for so long and I finally just thought 'screw the cold'! I love it too much to just wait to wear!
I'm still on the hunt for the perfect A/W attire and tomorrow is pay day (woohoo!) meaning i'll be doing a massssssive haul of stuff - shoes, coats, the whole shabang and I can't waitttttt! I haven't shopped for so long unless you count the odd ebay win... I've actually done quite a good job of winning like a thousand things over summer (good stuff too!) that have been added to my wardrobe - yay me!

Outfit of the day: G4Life

Back in the old swing of things at uni and actually doing something with myself (booo!) - bed, i'm gonna miss you. I'm literally the most unmotivated person ever when it comes to leaving the house and I wish I could just stay in bed forever and work from there... Anyone wanna hire me this way? Anybodyyyy?
I'm gonna try and stay in the swing of blogging, if you haven't already noticed, my posting has been a little off lately and allover the place and to be honest, i've been posting far too much - I didn't think that was possible, but hey. I can tell thee now, this ain't gonna be easy, if anyone has any scheduling tips so I can keep on track feel free to tell me them 'cause i'm gonna need them!
It's also getting ridiculously freezing. I went to Sainsbury's yesterday (for donuts, of course) in my beanie and some seriously fluffy slipper socks... I got some stares, but I was damn warm! Time to say hello, fur.
Oh, and if you're looking for the holy grail of all heels, it's the lita.

London Fashion Week - S/S '14 - 'What bloggers think'

As you may or may not already know, last week I headed over to London Fashion Week to see some Fashion Scout shows and while I was around I went to the New Look Refuel Room that they hosted for us bloggers, where we could refresh, sort ourselves out in between shows and meet fellow bloggers.
Since then, i've been asked about my views of Fashion week and been asked a few questions, so I thought I'd do a post with some of the questions i've been asked for you all to see!

1. Was there a key fashion theme running through this year's LFW?

One thing I did notice when I was keeping up with shows is that pink is definitely still reigning after A/W which makes me super happy because as you might have noticed, I wear a ton of pink. Sport inspired silhouettes also remain key as well as sheer fabrics and my ultimate favourite that seems to be popular for S/S14 - the baggy/wide leg trouser.

2. Which collection were you most excited to see before coming to LFW?

Mary Katrantzou. Since discovering her a couple of years ago i've become obsessed with her print work. I study Fashion design myself and print design has become my favourite part of what I do, so she is a solid favourite in my books and always creates perfection. She's a genius.

3. Do you have any tips for making the most out of your time at LFW?

Yes! I made the mistake of going for the big wedges - which turned out to kill my feet (my toes are still numb, whoopsieeee!) but luckily I took a pair of dolly shoes with me and they were just my absolute saviours. I would suggest being realistic about which shows you can make too as it can be so hectic. I find it best to prioritise so you don't end up missing the designer's you're really excited about - and dress as best you can - people are snapping Street Style at every angle!
One of my favourite parts of LFW was definitely the Refuel room though, so if you're a fellow blogger and you get an invite I definitely recommend heading over - New Look are just amazing for what they did for us!

4. If you could sit on the front row with all the celebs, who would you want to sit next to?

Very tough question because if there is one celebrity in the whole, entire world that I would loooove to sit next to, I would most definitely choose Rihanna - but in fashion terms, if you could get that seat next to Anna Wintour and make her love you, she could really do some good things for your career!

5. If you could take home one of the collections, whose would it be?

As much as Mary Katrantzou is my all-time favourite, I would love to be the Preen girl. The collection is just amazing. All white? Check. Geo print? Check. I'm in pure love, especially with the asymmetry.

6. What would you say are the biggest challenges as a blog owner?

There are actually so many. First of all, getting yourself out there and getting people to actually read - but this surprisingly hasn't been the hardest part. I still find it hard to admit to it with people that I know in real life. I feel judged and I don't even know why. It's quite tough coming up with things that people actually wanna see aswell, so I find myself lucky that people seem to enjoy my outfit posts.
Another big challenge is carrying on. I know that a lot of others have been discouraged at times aswell because followers don't come over night and people don't find you over night either. You have to stick with it for the readers to come in, which is something i'm still working on.

Outfit of the day: Cute as f*#k

Well, the first day back at uni is over with and I can finally sleep and eat and sleep some more! I've literally had the most boring day ever in the most boring possible briefing of all time and I drank all the Vimto in my fridge and I look gross in today's outfit photos - but I liked the outfit, so there's a (and the only) plus side! I'm still awaiting my student loan and absolutely dying to go shopping - my bookmarks are actually bursting at the seams, it's ridiculous and I can't even have it all - aghhh! Is there a shopping rehab? I'll stop moaning now....

Outfit of the day: So last season.....

One thing I definitely love about this time of year is the fact that I can pull out all of my over the knee socks and wear them with all of the short things that i'm not ready to let go of just yet, and no one can say a thing about it. Who doesn't love socks, anyway? Another thing i'm super happy about is the fact that pastel pink is here to stay, meaning I can wear last years H&M shirt that i'm still madly in love with.
I'm hoping that i'm not the only one that never throws anything away and just wears everything year after year after year regardless of trends and what everyone else is wearing - because nothing in this entire post is new (baddddd fashion student!)
Tomorrow is the first day back at uni and I really just want to curl up in a ball and not socialize with anyone and just stay in that ball forever... Is anyone else back at uni/school/college/whatever yet? Seriously dreading life right now....

Outfit of the day: Student life

Soo, i'm back at uni and finally all sorted out minus the housework and hovering that clearly is crying out to be done... And i'm back in classes on Wednesday, just to make me want to bash my head against a wall even more, as you do. As usual, I have to apologise for my shitty outfit post, but I can promise that they will have more appealing backgrounds very soon as I have friends again (yay!) and yes, I live in a shit hole house in case you were wondering about the background. Good old student life.
Today is a no-make-up-let's-go-to-sainsburys-and-binge-eat day (ermmm kind of like everyday!) but I liked my strange colour match today so I thought i'd share it with you guys seeing as I haven't been able to do much posting lately, especially outfit posts! So here it is, today's boring and strangely co-ordinated outfit....

Outfit of the day / LFW

So this weekend, unluckily for us Fashion week goers, we suffered from typical London weather and faced the rain and the cold all day whilst tittering around in our stacked heels.... Oh the joys. We had New Look on our side though, armed with a swanky room in the Waldorf Hotel which you could call Blogger heaven. They really were like life savers for us on Friday, which you may have seen my post about the other day. I can't even bang on about the Crush smoothies anymore than I have, they were like god in a cup!

I donned my new Rihanna for River Island purchase that I picked up at the launch party on Tuesday and it's fast become my fave item in my entire wardrobe - seriously, go shop some of the collection, it's just amazing! Anyway, here's what I got up to at London Fashion Week....

I was going to do an outfit post first but due to 'technical issues' I can't get the images yet :( boo!
I think the New Look Refuel room was my favourite part of the day - except for meeting Proudlock ;) - they were at hand armed with a team of wonderful ladies ready to style your hair, touch up your make-up, give you a massage, and paint your nails. It was like blogger heaven - especially in hectic times like Fashion week - and especially in the RAIN! It was so awesome to meet some fellow bloggers, especially the ones that got me into this whole thangggg like Kavita from and Olivia from - not to forget all of the other amazing people I met today who I also have been following for the past few months. It's just really nice meeting people that are in a way like you. Here's the photos from today's antics!

(These are just delicious and if you don't try them you haven't lived life)

REVIEW: Blackhead killer

Recently, I was offered a chance to review a Blackhead facemask from so, as a blackhead suffer-er, I took up the offer to see how it went and i'd also noticed a few of my twitter friends suffering with the same problem, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to go on the hunt for the perfect Blackhead beater!

First up - appearance. I know not to judge a book by it's cover, but personally if I was to go into a store I would 100% go for a more feminine looking product with prettier packaging - but that's just me.

When I first opened the sachet of the mask, I was very surprised to see that it was black, with a tar-like consistency. It's definitely thicker than any other face mask I have ever used before, so it was a little messy to apply and also found it quite a pain to remove from my hands after I finished applying.

Here's me being silly in my onesie because, well, i'm an idiot.

So, there's what it looks like on... Minus my face... It took around 15 minutes to dry and be ready to peel off and when I did peel it off it was a little tough to pull on the cheeks :( poor cheeks!
Despite all this, when I did finally remove it and wash it off, I did notice a difference in my pores and that the blackheads were reduced significantly (check me out using a big word!), some did however remain but they weren't as bad as before. I also noticed that my spots weren't as sore and were reduced too.
I think that I would use this product again because I do believe that it will keep on improving my skin but I would prepare myself for a messy, sticky beauty sesh the next time! And i'd probably tie my hair back so it didn't all stick in my hair, but i'm a fool that didn't want you all to see my pea head with all my hair scraped back!

You can find this product from Stylelux here for £14.95 per 5 pack, and you can also claim your money back if it doesn't work first time!

Wednesday, 11 September 2013

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, i've been moving back in and getting my life together now that i'm back in London and I actually don't have internet at the moment :( last night was perfect - free champagne, free cocktails, the brand new collection before anybody else, Rihanna, Cara, goodie bags - it was like the holy grail of press events. People from Elle, River Island, the paparazzi, and the papers were swarming everywhere - why I didn't get any contacts or come home with an internship is beyond me, but we'll blame the champagne for that one!

Onto the collection... On first impressions from the first press release that Vogue kindly provided us, I was skeptical. I thought, there is just no way you are going to see me in camo. Then you see it in real life and (maybe only if you're a fellow designer) you see the direction they were going in and start to 'get it'. There's a common basketball-jersey mesh theme throughout the whole collection and upon seeing it, i'm literally in love. My favourites were the mesh maxi dresses and like a fool, I didn't snap one up last night! The mesh crop tees in the same style from the last collection (with the half sleeves) are also gorgeous, especially in the camo and has made it onto my post-student loan wishlist.
There's a ton of gorgeous thick cotton garments (such as the G4LIFE jumpers - I bought one) and they're just perfect for the coming season. I had to grab one!
My last ultimate faves were everything in the digital black and white print - which you may have seen on Rihanna herself and Jourdan Dunn this week at NYFW. It really is beautiful and it will get snapped up very fast - meaning I won't have time to buy - but if you're in a position to, I definitely would. You can choose from a midi length, oversized t-shirt dress (a la Jourdan Dunn), a bodycon mini with long sleeves (a la Rihanna) or some super cute leggings that also don the print. There's also an amazing oversized jumper dress that says 'G4LIFE' at the bottom, and it looks incredible on! Who'd have known i'd have loved everything?

Unfortunately, Rihanna wasn't doing fan pics - I did bump into Kavita from She Wears Fashion though, who was unbelievably lucky to be styled by Rihanna personally - so yeah i'm incredibly envious there, but it was lovely to meet her. I did get some photos from the event though (I was drunk, remember that) for you all to see - it was an amazing party and i'm so grateful to have had the chance to be there. Onto Fashion week!

Sorry for allllll the photos guys! I'm still all excited over it as you can see!
You can shop the collection on-line and in store tomorrow at River Island.
